Provide us with your Pantone colour code and we will colour match it! 

Please note that the colours in your proof may not fully match the colour that is printed on the fabric, especially if it is heavy coverage. The colours you see on your screen will not be as vibrant/bright when printed on fabric. We recommend getting a swatch printed ahead of printing if you have specific colour requirements. We cannot guarantee colour matching on rush jobs.

The backdrops come in 2 pieces:

The hardware (frame for mounting) and the print (the part with the graphic on it). With some backdrops these come separately, you put the frame together and mount the print. (If you’re not interested in that don’t worry we have some that show up already assembled and just expand into place).

The Size

The size of your Step and Repeat will depend on the location of your event and your event budget.

Typical heights are either 8 feet tall or 10 feet tall.

Before considering a 10 foot tall backdrop you’ll want to confirm that you can fit that tall in your venue. If the ceiling where you want the step and repeat is only 8 feet high you’ll want to make sure you don’t show up with a 10 foot tall backdrop.

Most of the backdrops we provide are 8 feet tall but it all depends on your event.

As for length they range from 5 feet wide to 30 feet and longer.

Depending on your event and its purpose, you’re going to have anywhere from 2-3 people or large group of cast or crew members getting photos taken.

The most popular sizes for a step and repeat backdrop are 10 feet, 12 feet wide and 20 feet wide.

This depends on the experience you are trying to create. One of the most common sizes we create for Disney for example is 20 feet wide x 10 feet tall.

Overall, the most popular sizes are 10 x 8 and 12 x 8  and 20×10 if you are planning on going big.

Type of Step and Repeat
for your Event

This is a very important detail to your event.

There are so many shapes and styles of frames and backdrops and you don’t want something that needs to be built on-site. 

We recommend avoiding tube frame style step and repeats.

The most popular frame people use is expandable accordion style frame, the print can stay on it and it’s tool-free setup makes it quick and easy to go up.

You are going to want something easy to setup and that can be reused for future events.

The sides of the expand backdrop has ‘endcaps’ which can have additional branding, website, social handles or event sponsors.

Endcaps also gives your backdrop a more finished look, especially if you are going for the red carpet feel for your event. 

Remember to be careful of buying “cheap” frames that require tools. We often hear about people that bought tube style frames and were really disappointed at their event. Don’t risk it!

The Material


The material is a very important part of the backdrop.

Are you planning on taking photos? If you don’t want glare, we hands down recommend fabric.  Fabric is reusable, it’s portable – you can leave it right on the frame when you take it down, it just folds right up in it.  

The only reason some clients don’t buy fabric is because they are on a budget and trying to save money.

In the end, sometimes it ends up costing them more in the long run.

Another material option for your movie premiere, is vinyl.  The reason we don’t love vinyl is because for the most part, everyone uses a backdrop for the purpose of photos.  Even though vinyl can come matte, it doesn’t guarantee that it will be glare-free with a flash from a camera.  Vinyl comes on a roll and can’t be folded or it will crease and wrinkle so it’s less convenient for travelling.

Keep in mind this is your brand and if you are showcasing sponsors, you will want your event to look premium.
