Red carpet backdrops are generally printed on either fabric or vinyl banner. The two offer different benefits . Fabric prints reduce glare on backdrops when shot in low lighting conditions and can be easily packaged together with the frame into a single carrying case. They are best suited to situations where photographers are using flash. The disadvantage is that fabric prints are not entirely opaque and thus some aspects of the frame may be visible in certain lighting conditions. By contrast vinyl backdrops are entirely opaque and more cost effective than their fabric counterpart. Vinyl backdrops need to be transported and stored separately from their frame as they cannot be folded. They are rolled and placed in an 8′ tube.
