Sizing for a Trade Show Backdrop:
The size of your trade show backdrop will depend on the location of your trade show and your event budget.
Popular sizes for a trade show displays are 8 feet, 10 feet, 12 feet and sometimes even 20 feet wide by 8 feet tall.
Before purchasing a backdrop for your trade show booth, you need to confirm with your venue what size of space you have and what the height of their ceilings are and ensure that the size of the backdrop you are interested in can fit that space. If the ceiling where you want the step and repeat is only 8 feet high you’ll want to make sure you don’t show up with a 10 foot tall backdrop or if you don’t want light to shine through the backdrop when outdoors, you might want to consider adding on some blockout.
For a trade show display, you’re going to want to use all the space you have so that possible customers/clients can read your backdrop from a distance or are intrigued to stop at your booth.

Type of Backdrop for your Trade Show:
This is a very important detail to your event.
Our most popular frame is the expandable accordion style frame, the print can stay on it and it’s tool-free setup makes it quick and easy to go up.Another popular option is the Quick Click backdrop, it is a slimmer, more streamlined pillowcase and tube frame backdrop. These are handy when space is limited.
For trade shows, you are trying to create a strong impression and you are going to want something easy to setup as well as a design that pulls all the customers in.
Material Options:
Choosing the right material is a key part in the backdrop buying process.
Do you want photos that have no glare and look almost professional even if it was taken with a smart phone? We hands down recommend fabric. Fabric is reusable, it’s portable – you can leave it right on the frame when you take it down, it just folds right up in it.
The number one reason a client doesn’t buy fabric is because they have a budget. Otherwise, you are going to want to invest in the fabric, it’s durable, dry-cleanable and wrinkle-resistant. Most of the time, clients who didn’t invest in the material option, end up buying it later, which in the long run costs them more.
Vinyl is another option for your marketing activation event. The reason we don’t love vinyl is because for the most part, everyone uses a backdrop for the purpose of photos. Even if you don’t plan on taking many photos at your trade show booth event, you may use the backdrop in the future for other events that you will want photos on for social media purposes, conferences, etc. Even though vinyl can come matte, it doesn’t guarantee that it will be glare-free with a flash from a camera. Vinyl comes on a roll and can’t be folded or it will crease and wrinkle so it’s less convenient for travelling.
Keep in mind this is your company and you will want your event to look premium.
