With so many shapes and sizes it can be a little confusing to find the perfect press conference backdrop.

Although we can’t say it’s 1 size fits all…In this short article we’ll give you the best points to figure out what size.

AND 1 option that can change sizes depending on your stage or venue…If you’re travelling and doing multiple events.

Picking The Best Step and Repeat Backdrop:

There are 2 main measurements to the consider: The Width and The Height.

HOW HIGH TO GO:

The most standard heights are 8′ and 10′ although they can go higher those are most common.

In the pic above there is a person standing at a podium and the backdrop is 10′. This gives ample space above their head for video or photo to easily have full backdrop behind them.

If the backdrop is going behind people that are seated then 8′ would definitely work.

For impact 10′ is better but if you need to watch the budget 8′ might be better.

HOW WIDE TO GO:

This one depends on your stage size. 

We recommend to fill as much of your stage as you can.

The width creates the most impact.

If you have a 20′ wide stage but only have a 10′ wide backdrop it’s going to look really small and kind of meh.

You don’t have to fill the entire stage. We recommend at least 75% if budget will allow it.

If you need to watch budget and have a wider stage, we recommend to do 8′ tall and go wider, rather than 10′ tall.

This will help you spread your budget wider rather than taller.

FLEXIBLE BACKDROP SIZING:
